Just like the Religious Right of the 1980’s the Republicans will be driven by a grass roots organization that although in most part agrees with the philosophies of the Religious Right will be focused more on fiscal policy. The Tea Party has taken the Republican Party by storm. Growing in numbers almost daily the Tea Party Republican are politicians and voters who are tired of free spending by the government and demanding that social programs and every other program needs to be reexamined and even eliminated if they are too costly. With the economy being what it is and not showing fast enough times of revival the message of the Tea Party rings loud and clear too many Americans. Believing that continued taxation is not the answer and that the upper class needs to be given tax cuts in order to continue doing business the members of the Tea Party are creating a stir in the Republican Party. Not seen since the inception of the Religious Right and how they embraced President Ronald Reagan has a grass roots organization played such a part in the Republican Party. This time however instead of the organization chasing the party the party is chasing the Tea Party supporters and all that they have to offer. The Tea Party with its growing popularity have those in Congress and wishing to win the party’s nomination to run for President doing whatever the Tea Party wishes. The Tea Party is clearly a force to be dealt with.
TEA PARTY REPUBLICANS
February 20th, 2012COME TO THE TEA PARTY
February 17th, 2012A new brand of Republican is coming out and the coming out party will be starting this political election. The Tea Party is a new grass roots organization that has taken the Republican Party by storm. In the wake of a failing economy the Tea Party is committed to fiscal responsibility. The Tea Parties believe that the government overspends in several areas. First they believe that social programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security just to name a few are becoming a drain on the economic system and need to either be eliminated or revamped in order to stop the fiscal bleeding. Second they are committed no rising of taxes for the rich and big business. They believe that the wealthy should be given every tax break possible in order to keep business open and growing thus offering jobs for the working sector. Third they feel that the government has no right restricting business thus reducing regulations even in regard to the environment in order to promote healthy business growth. The Tea Party is committed to getting a handle on the amount of money spent by the government and that only by controlling that will the nation be able to get back on its feet. Whether you love them or hate them the Tea Party has grabbed the fascination of the country and even if you don’t like their methods the philosophy of fiscal responsibility for the government just like in our homes is a good one to adopt.
NEW BLOOD
February 16th, 2012The last Presidential election pointed out a blaring flaw in the Republican party. It showed how the old regime was no longer able to grab hold of the voters and gain their support from exhausted policies that were getting them nowhere. Since the loss in the last election the Republican Party has been invigorated with a new grass roots movement that is gaining momentum since its inception. The Tea Party movement is the most popular grass roots organization in America right now. Everyday Republican hopefuls are reaching out to this grass roots organization in hopes of their support and endorsement and gaining validity all along the way. The Tea Party believes in fiscal responsibility and feels the government needs to be accountable fiscally and eliminate social programs that they feel suck off the government. The Tea Party also believes that in no way whatsoever the wealthy should be taxed equally to the lower class because it is the wealthy that provide jobs for the country. The Tea Party also believes it is not the government’s position to restrict business and that the environment is secondary to the advancements of business interests. Whether you agree with them or not the Tea Party will play a major role in the upcoming political elections already have Republican political candidates clamoring after them for their support. If the next election proves to go well for the Republican Party rest assured it will be through the support of the Tea Party and their followers.
FISCAL AGENDA
February 15th, 2012The nation is about to elect a new President or reelect an existing one. Simply what it will come down to is whether the American people will be satisfied with the progress of the current administration and their policies or if it wishes to go in a new direction such as what will be offered by the Republican Party. Presidential nominee former governor Mitt Romney has one agenda for how to turn things around as does former governor Huntsman, Senator Ron Paul, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. Each Republican nominee has their own view of how to fix the government and at the end of the Republican National Convention the agenda and platform for the Republican Party will be formalized but rest assured all will contain a part of the past such as overturning programs and the Supreme Court ruling in ROE v. WADE legalizing abortion and a new fiscal responsibility policy promoted by the Tea Party. The focus of this next Presidential election will focus primarily on the economy and how to turn it around and nothing is more isolating then the two camps belief in how to accomplish this. The Republican Party also considered the party of the rich and big business will adamantly oppose increase in taxes on the upper class and will look for the lower class to carry the burden in taxation. They will also support the notion that the government reduces its interference in business and minimizing regulations on big business.
AN AGENDA WITH TEA
February 14th, 2012Every year both the Democratic and Republican Party has an agenda for the new session and the new year. During years where Presidential election are concerned the parties develop a platform of what their goals are for the party. This is also referred to as their agenda. This Presidential election both parties will focus on the economy. Both parties will approach the issue of revitalizing the economy in different ways. The Democratic Party traditionally supports policies that allow for government assistance with social programs designed for the betterment of society but the Republican Party will approach it from a much different manner following the lead of the grass roots organization called the Tea Party. The Tea Party has gained popularity primarily due to the current economy. With unemployment at an unacceptable level and the government seeming to spend at will the Tea Party has risen as a driving force that Republican Presidential hopefuls are rushing to court and gain their support. Just like the Religious Right of the 1980s the Tea Party has taken the reigns of the Republican agenda and demanded attention. Presidential hopefuls like former governor Mitt Romney, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and Senator Ron Paul as well as the other Republican Presidential nominees have all made their pitch to the Tea Party in order to woo their support and endorsements in the primary elections and hope that with the Tea Party support they will be able to ride the wave all the way to the Presidency.
FUTURE POLICY
February 13th, 2012This election season the Republican Party has a big job ahead of it. The Republicans need to win the election and reshape the future of the country. In order to start the process the Republicans will need to set up a party agenda that will excite the people and motivate them to get behind it. Grass root organizations play a major role in determining agenda. For the last thirty years the Religious Right has been that group, pushing party politics to base policy on conservative religious values. This election something new is in the air. The Tea Party has taken hold of the Republican Party and is driving policy with an emphasis on fiscal responsibility. Presidential hopefuls such as former governor Mitt Romney, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Senator Ron Paul from Texas and the rest of the field of candidates looking to win the Republican nomination. Based on the current situation with the economy the Republicans are racing to the grass roots Tea Party and their growing number of supporters. With their hard line of fiscal control the Tea Party has not only grabbed the attention of the public but also put the fear in right wing politicians who do not go along with their beliefs. Even before the year at the last session right wing conservatives were shifting gears and adopting the Tea Party agenda and threw the political climate on Capitol Hill into a tizzy by adhering to fiscal conservatism and supporting the Tea Party philosophy.
EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS
February 10th, 2012The Republican much like the Democratic Party is filled with a history of famous leaders. The Republicans can start off with Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln will go down in history as one of the greatest Presidents to ever live. Known for saving the nation in a time of its greatest peril Lincoln stayed the course and was able to re-unite the country. No time in our past have we ever faced such a crisis. Another great leader was Teddy Roosevelt (yes he was a Republican) who from his days as a Rough Rider was known for his commitment to leadership and exceptional guiding of the country at the beginning of the twentieth century. And yet another great leader in the Republican Party was General Dwight D. Eisenhower who after engineering the success of the Allied forces in World War II provided that same type of leadership in guiding the country in the 1950s Eisenhower was known for using the best men and strategically guiding the nation during the Korean conflict and keeping the country prosperous. The last famous Republican President is Ronald Reagan. Reagan was well known for his communication ability and overwhelming charisma. President Reagan was almost regal in his tenure in office, known as an extremely kind man Reagan was also able to study policy and make tough decisions when it was called for. Who will be the next famous Republican will it be former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich or maybe Mitt Romney the former governor from Massachusetts, or Ron Paul the distinguished senator from Texas. Whoever it will be he or she will take their place in the annals of history and have their name etched with the many greats of the Republican Party and America.
FUTURE HERO
February 9th, 2012Each political party has its share of heroes. This election could very easily be the launch pad for the Republicans next political hero. Whichever party in office will claim a hero when the country comes out of the current recession. The leader of that party will be given credit for steering the country out of the doldrums of the economic squall. This is an excellent chance for the Republican Party to find them and mount a strong claim to not only eight years in office but maybe more. The people of the United States are looking for a hero, a leader who will turn this country around and with little hope in their government, anyone who can show the leadership necessary to guide the nation out of this economic recession will go down with the Lincolns, Eisenhower’s, and Reagan’s as one of the famous Republicans of the Party. Leaders like former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Governor Romney and the like will all vie for the title. Now is the time for a true leader and now more than ever the Republicans need to join forces take the nation with a strong policy that allows them to assume the greatness of past Republican Presidents. Who knows what the future will deliver but if the Republican Party wants to make a statement the y will need to deliver and if so the future hero of the Republican Party will be born and live as a reminder to all future Republicans.
REPUBLICAN HISTORY
February 8th, 2012In a year of Presidential Election the names of major figures in both parties will be brought up time and time again. The Democrats will revel in the past of F.D.R.; John F. Kennedy and even Bill Clinton and the Republicans will evoke the names of Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan. Conjuring up their charismatic ways and success in the White House, men like Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and others will attempt to follow the past leaders of the Republican Party and reminding us of the better times when the Republicans were in charge. The Republican Party is rich in tradition with Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt (yes he was a Republican) General Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan the Republicans have a vast arsenal of past to call upon. It will take the best of all of these great men to help revitalize a party that suffered a huge defeat in the last Presidential election. One can take solace however in the fact that the last congressional elections have shown a huge sign of hope for the Grand Old Party. But as far as the Presidency is concerned with the demeanor of the nation the Republicans will need to find a leader with the Charisma of Reagan, the strength of Lincoln and the strategic mastermind of Eisenhower to take back the Presidency. The Republican Party is loaded with history; the time to take advantage of that history is now and directs it into the next election for President.
CONTROLED GOVERNMENT
February 7th, 2012This election year will be a defining moment for both the Republican and Democratic Party. The biggest challenge will be for the Republicans to see if they can gain back the support that led former president George W. Bush to two terms in the White House. After Bush’s second term the Republicans lacked the popular support for their ideals and were rolled over in the Presidential election. This time however the Republicans have a disgruntled population on their side. With the economy not much better than four years ago the citizenship of the United States has lost patience with the government and those who run it. The Republicans led by grass root organization called the Tea Party has picked up momentum demanding the government no longer be allowed to freely spend money on social issues and get back to fiscal responsibility. Although the Republican Party still maintains its commitment to policies like overturning Supreme Court decisions such as ROE V. WADE and make abortion illegal and eliminating the funding for programs such as Planned Parenthood the new focus is on demanding our leaders eliminate spending money on all social programs. This philosophy will be at the forefront of the Republican National Convention. Limit government involvement, do not allow environmental regulations to limit business ventures, do not increase taxes, and minimize or eliminate social programs are the foundation of the modern day Republican Party and with the backing of the Tea Party and their drive for fiscal responsibility the election will be interesting.
